The Galician Competition Court is formed of three members, the President and two Members, as is indicated in Article 4.1 of Law 6/2004 (12 July), which regulates the bodies dealing with competition in the Autonomous Community of Galicia. The court is a collegiate body that is governed by the Plenary, constituted by the three aforementioned members, who will be assisted by a secretary.

The President and the Members are appointed by the Council of the Xunta de Galicia. They are appointed for a period of five years, and can be reappointed only once. Theses posts are full-time.

The president is the maximum authority and representative of the Court; he/she also represents the Autonomous Community of Galicia in the Competition Council, which was established by Law 1/2002. The president shall be assisted in the administrative functions of the GCC by the general secretary of the organization, who currently also carries out the function of secretary of the Plenary.
